BOOK NOW TO ATTEND D9800 CONFERENCE IN MELBOURNE ON LABOUR DAY WEEKEND at www.2012melbourne.com.au

The Rotary Club of Essendon is part of a global network of over one million volunteers aimed at providing service to local and overseas communities in need. We pride ourselves on our 75+ year track record of completing enduring relevant community service projects and the fact that 100% of all funds we raise are distributed directly to the causes we support.
We were Chartered in 1935 as the first suburban Rotary Club in Australia. Our club has produced six (6) District Governors and a President of Rotary International, Royce Abbey, in 1988/89.
The Rotary Club of Essendon meets every Tuesday, 12.45pm for 1.00pm at Fredrick's Restaurant, Alexander Motor Inn, 980 Mt Alexander Road, Essendon, 3040. Lunch is served and each meeting finishes promptly at 2.00pm. Meetings usually include a guest speaker with a broad range of topics covered. Recent guest speakers have included: Jeff Gieschen (AFL Umpires Director); Sue Lloyd-Williams (Deputy CEO - Victoria Racing Club); Pamela Raudeler (Journalist SBS Radio); Dr Graeme Pearman (Science Advisor to past USA Vice President Al Gore); and Jason Thomas (Afghanistan Counterinsurgency operative).
